I was wondering if the influx of new users and subsequent headaches associated with their maintenance (requests for changes, moderation, etc) made shut-down easier than dealing with the issues. The cost benefit balance of volunteering no longer made sense.
Between #Mastodonau & #Mastodonlol, it's a good thing #Mastodon gGmbH has put an end to using Mastodon in new domain names without explicit licensing.

I wonder how many other significant instances are ran by people with personality trait issues &their users &their content is at the whims of unreasonable people, not suited for the responsibilities and sensibilities required. #MastoAdmin

Too many admins shut down their instance because they’re having a bad day.
