This is the perverse thing about the Republicans, and is responsible for much of their success: They thrive on destruction. And that is very difficult to deal with.

One might try to find ways to support the Democrats in their opposition of Republican treachery, rather than to merely scold them.

I do not merely scold the Democrats. I am forever giving them advice. And #1 on my list of advice would be for the Democrats to find solidarity with the people before the corporations. This they do not do, to this very day.

Seriously - how in the world would they expect to be popular if they do not serve the people’s interests? Things will not work the way they simply insist they do…

If your advice has been ineffective, maybe there is a good reason for that. Consider yourself scolded.

The mass of people may not be too bright - but sooner or later they realize that they are losing ground, and that they are being cheated, and they are going to look for someone to blame. The Republicans have been very good at directing this negative force in their favor.
