Fedora Workstation 41 will drop GNOME X.Org session as fallback option

While defaulting to GNOME on Wayland since version 25 of Fedora, and Fedora version 34 for KDE Plasma Desktop, this Linux distribution intends to completely ditch X.Org session as fallback for GNOME on release 41.

Aaand KDE and Kinoite 40 will drop XOrg too!

For the KDE users XOrg will temporarily be available from a COPR repository and can also be layered on top of Kinoite.

X11 apps will work just fine (for most basic tasks) using XWayland

as somebody who daily drives gnome/wayland currently โ€” I donโ€™t know. Whole lot of things need to be fixed between now and then for this to make sense

The Nvidia image should and must include X 11 as no matter what fedora wants themselves nvidia is not moving at any rapid pace ๏ฟผ
