a majority of people have forgotten why programs like this are necessary. Although, as issues come up (e.g. the Boar's Head contaminations, illnesses from raw milk, etc) people will learn again.
I think the point, since Reagan, has been to prove that government cannot work, by making government not work. For some, the end game is replace its functions with private enterprise, and to take away all legal restrictions on profit. Others just cheer it all on because they think it'll benefit them and they hate being told what to do . . . while absolutely thriving on telling others what to do. They'll gladly kill people to prove government can't work.
I know, I know, everyone’s piling on with the “well, akshully”. But there really are people who think getting Covid makes your immune system stronger and shit. There really are people who perversely think getting sick is good for you. Like so much disinformation there’s this tiny grain of truth in there that gets bent and twisted into something stupid and harmful. Sorry I am one more “well akshully”
pretty sure the right believe the strong survive and the weak perish, and the CDC has unnaturally protected the weak (left). They see others dying as a restorative process for the natural order. I think you're not really engaging with what the right will readily tell you.

It's a death cult. They don't mind suicide for their godhead, as long as the black, brown and all other non-whites die as well.
