Why would anyone trust Unity now? We can't take them at their word that they won't try to pull something like this later on after they try to capture more of the market and institute it despite the feedback.

Interesting how much they eased off. I was really curious about the per instance fee they were claiming and were absolutely grilled in the tech news over. Still a shame they burned all that goodwill.

I still wouldn't make a game with unity in the future, but this is great news for developers who are late into development of a game and couldn't change the engine without spending a lot of time or money.

I honestly wonder how this will affect digital marketplace sellers and avatars in something like VRChat. Would the 2.5% revenue share be passed along to the seller/creator of the asset?
