And before you accept or deny any cookie, you get punched right in the face with a cookie banner that often loads too late.

And nobody talks about cookie-less solutions like Matomo for analytics.

And very often you get tracked before you accept the cookies. πŸ˜‘

IMHO cookies are of minor concern, they can be blocked or sandboxed or whatever. However bloated websites with 20+ MB of content are insane (10 MB of JavaScript code...) , and it's getting worse every year. A good adblocker is mandatory, but it's not enough.
