I like AOSP for the freedom and complete control it gives me over my device, but this decision is just crazy. Why would I want a device without complete control?
This should still be possible to circumvent through root or even developer options if Google aren't such assholes, I mean a developer might need to install an unsigned apk to test it, if you have to root your phone it'd be annoying but through developer options, I don't really see an issue with that, it's just a few taps more to do for freedom and it might stop some stupid people to install malware, we'll have to wait and see how we can pass through this restriction...
neither developers will accept to hand over their ID to google, neither I will use any app whose developer has actually done this. If I think better, this is a push towards Linux phones. Thank you Google!
