Report: Shipping data contradict US claims of blockade success

US Centcom commander Brad Cooper said that “US forces have completely halted economic trade going in & out of Iran by sea.”

But shipping data show that 14 ships on the US sanctions lists crossed the strait, 7 from Iranian ports.

In addition, TankerTrackers said Iran shipped 9m barrels of crude oil since the start of the blockade.

To me it's just a gesture from the US to sell the coming deal to the Americans as something they have forced on Iran. While in reality blockading Iran's import and export doesn't help the US in this deal. 47 fucking years of sanctions on Iran has taught them a few things.
