An honest question, why is no one talking about this? Perhaps I've been living under a rock and am just not aware of it‽

Will it challenge the likes of "systemd" and be adopted as "mainstream"? Or does it still have a way to go?

more competition is always welcome. Personally, I pick Dinit.

Systemd is fine for the most part, but I take issue with it pretty much being the de facto standard.

As an Apple and Nintendo user, I don’t want vendor lock-in on my pc as well. Gnome is already starting to depend more on Systemd features making it very hard to run it on other init systems.

We don’t need a lot of alternatives to the Systemd suite, but one or two good alternatives that are interchangeable would be welcome.
