Someone Slipped a RAT into Arch Linux!

A sneaky menace made its way into Arch User Repository. Another reminder to not blindly trust packages from AUR, PPA and even from Snapcraft.

also in a packege called minecraft-cracked.

Btw, installibg things like firefox from aur is a bit idiotic. There is an ufficial and well-mantained package on repository...

no they didn't... they created infected packages in the AUR (the users repository). Any package you use from the AUR, you do it at your own risk! And you can do it too!
This is the same if i created an infected PPA... would i be slipping malware into Ubuntu?

"into Arch Linux" is inaccurate and misleading. The AUR is explicitly not part of Arch Linux, if you sticked to official repositories everything is fine. Please update/clarify your post headline.
