I know it's a joke, but it does occur to me that there are cases where encouraging the employees to anthropomorphosize non-people like this is a good idea. Like, in a cryo facility, you want all the workers to operate on the belief that every single body is a person who may be revived some day, and that allowing them to thaw would be the end of their life, not when they were frozen: you don't want workers who think they are just working fancy storage for dead bodies, which was what a lot of the early scams did.
