recently installed 11 on a second drive (wanted to get back into heavily modded Skyrim) in my PC i built last year. Was not a pleasant experience. First few hours spent just figuring out why the installer could see the drive even though it shows up in bios and Linux. Once it finally installed, I forgot just how many drivers still have to be installed, and just all the little cleanup steps post install. And this is with a generic iso. Linux, steam and game install took less time combined
I have no desire to buy new compatible hardware just so that I can use a thoroughly horrendous OS. So as my existing machines will happily run Linux, that's what I'll be switching to by October next year. And I doubt I'll be alone 🙂
