Entering Early Access on Steam back in March, Athena Crisis clearly takes inspiration from the classic Advanced Wars and now the code has been made open source.

This is the first time I've seen a game pursue online-only and open source. Offline appears to be a pivot that they haven't done yet, but these, in my mind, are ideologies that are usually opposed to one another.
