i don't know how people read argentinian news but the economy WAS wrecked by the peronist/kirchnerist government previously (220% inflation) and THEN we voted for the madman (reduced it to 20%), the order is important 😁 Source: i'm argentinian, of course
Hey! European here, sorry if the question sounds stupid, it's 100% honest. So, I have had to search for "premiums" in the context of healthcare to understand it, and even after that, I do not understand the part about surgery. Does the US government shutdown affect surgeries or healthcare in general??
@joxean It affects healthcare in general because those tax credits that were cut in the previous continuing resolution, which expired made health insurance payments (premiums) cheaper.
Farmers, ranchers, small business owners, and self-employed people tend to have higher premiums to begin with because they only have insurance for themselves and possibly their few employees, so they can't be clumped into a big risk pool like they would if they were part of a large company
@joxean @trebach Yes, self-employed people like me will probably see our monthly premiums go up and our coverage get worse -- it affects everything about our healthcare, including the cost of surgery.
