These "laws" are not about child protection and all about data brokerage and building profiles of the real people using technology that bypasses the pseudonyms and screen names so that individuals can be targeted and silenced by any big corpo or gov't. Any court/judge/lawyer worth their salt wouldn't uphold this sort of "law". Sadly politicians are running around unchecked.

FOSS as a whole should Not comply regardless of home country

The worst part of this is that it’s just a front for data collection and attaching everything we do on our computers to our IDs. They aren’t saying that part out loud, but it’s obviously what they want. That’s going to be abused to hell and back.
