What ASA? And where did you focus? It seem that you focus on the cat’s neck. Incredible low depth of field and low light. I guess that you had to use high speed because the model was no cooperative?

@Twitter_expat I shot it at box speed, so 80 ISO. I try not to go below 1/125 handheld, so I was probably between f1.7 and f2.8. I probably missed focus because the subject moved, it was not intentionally on the neck.

Oh ok handheld. Yes there are pro photographers with an incredible pulse and they are very proud of it. But been studio shots a tripod is the best option. A good tripod is another big investment specially in film that captures so much detail. People with good eye will catch the minimal movement. Expression wise the photo is amazing.

Also it made me remember that pro photographers back in the day had help from inkers to get rid of paper or film imperfections…
