The reason i recently replaced my stick blender was that the gearbox for the whisk attachment chewed out. That left me with a whisk that doesn’t fit the new blender. So half an hour on the lathe later, it has a handle!

And a beautiful one, too! Did you finish the wood with anything specific to averse moisture?

I have some home made wood polish I use for some things. It usually sets fairly hard after a few days.
Beeswax, turpentine and boiled linseed oil, mixed together in to a paste.
