The GDC 2026 State of the Game Industry report is out with "over 2,300" professionals in the industry surveyed, and here's some of the highlights from it.

I suppose these reports are related to assets (textures, sounds, music, models). If we count also people using it for code, I suspect that the AI usage would unfortunately spike.

I was reading it, but thanks for taking the trouble of pointing it out. Weird data in there... for example I find difficult believing there's more people working to optimize for Steam Deck than for Switch or Switch 2.
