don't really care. I prefer to log in to a shell, then run startx if I want KDE.

For those wanting boot to GUI there are alternatives such as SDDM.

FreeBSD 15 installed KDE without startx, had to install xinit to fix that. Happy now 😁

Fortunately, many #FreeBSD users have the skills to know how to switch login managers.

And if they don’t, someone in the community can help them.
