To be fair, this used to be all of Linux, lol. "RTFM" was practically the most used response to anything. Thankfully things have improved exponentially since those days.
Sure, because those fanatics cannot give useful answers to actual problems at all. When they answer, it's:
- here it works - your use case is stupid - use project Y instead (which then just has other problems, maybe much more severe ones) - here is a shitload of manual steps for a completely disappointing workaround (that will fail next week, though) - you can implement your own fix (although the dev was not able to get it right in the first place)
