This brings back memories. Actually, I remember having these thoughts about elementary school text books, but we never came close to getting through our science text books.

In third grade, I had nephritis (following strep throat), and I was out so long, months, that the school sent me tutor to catch me up once I was well enough to sit up for an hour a day. It didn't take long to catch up, and I was able to use the extra time to do science chapters. I was so excited.
