Looking into #ScienceAdvances as a journal to publish in..
Why is there a reference limit, and why is it so low (80 references)? In this day and age? For an online-only journal?

PS: remember that you can rate the submission & revision process of journals on #SciRev https://scirev.org/

Why would anyone choose a for-profit open access journal over one run by a charity?

SciAdv is from AAAS, which is a non-profit - wouldn't that be better than a for-profit OA journal?
in reply to Frank Aylward

@foaylward that's true, AAAS is non-profit.. but why are their publication fees so high then?

@foaylward You are right, I forgot Science Advances isn't from Nature or Elsevier. Gosh so many PLoS ONE copycats.
