sci.chem was constantly spammed by a guy who called himself Archimedes Plutonium.

We did get some good stuff published, for example by transmitting the sort of practical lab lore that never got published in the regular literature.

it’s still being used. I actually used it last year just to mess around, but it’s pretty dead and it’s very clearly “unsafe” now. But #irc is still pretty active surprisingly. Not crazy busy though, since #freenode bit the bullet.

I've been actually reading about setting up an #inn server, the past few days. Just because.

I liked #usenet quite a lot, but I must concur that it's pretty much over nowadays.
