What do you think about Pamac? Would you install it?

I prefer using the terminal to find, get information on, or install apps. Even on distros with an "app store" I just use the CLI. Although, App Center in elementary is a really cool idea and take on things.

Pamac is pretty cool except for the fact that it's a GTK app and clashes with my carefully designed KDE Plasma setup. As it stands I tend to use Discover for most of my software browsing and Octopi for the AUR stuff while primarily using the terminal for updates and quick installation of stuff I'm familiar with.

is this the one that ddosed the aur multiple times? I wouldn’t use it.

There's nothing wrong with it, but I don't really need it. It's something that I would show to someone who is ready to run an Arch distro, but still prefers to use a GUI when possible. As far as I can tell, pamac is a good program that does exactly what it's supposed to do.

It is my preffered method for keeping my #manjaro systems up-to-date. I never use the #gui only the #cli.

pamac is used mainly on Manjaro, which is not too stable in my opinion (it's *more* unstable than Arch esp for AUR apps). It's a bad idea to install it on Arch. Arco has a build of pamac, and that's designed to work on Arco...

If I ever happen to hold a grudge against the aur and want to ddos it without implicating myself, sure.
