or consider Open Collective, which we use at #Socialcoop. Unlike Patreon it is built on a culture of open source and shared governance, as well as transparency by default.

@ntnsndr @ben @bengo @dmitri @Julia oh I love open collective! It's definitely a fit for many masto server crowdfunding contexts, but Steady is partic interesting to me cuz it bundles a lot of functions (mailing list/newsletter management, etc) into a payment system. Core or experimental AcPub tech components could definitely be OC'd, those repos have way more than 100 🌟!
