I really find myself comfy using Ghostwriter or another markdown editor for distraction free writing, and then Pandoc and TeX (LaTeX, ConTeXt) to get professional quality typesetting.
I tried OnlyOffice, but I used to do so many little adjustment and specific configurations on my documents on LibreOffice, that OnlyOffice was unable to handle correctly :/
used OnlyOffice but it was missing features and wasn't too reliable (spell checker wouldn't work either sometimes, which was rather significant).
Then used WPS office which I recently uninstalled. It would be really great if they didn't ruin it with millions of pop-ups, suggestions, recommendations, "AI" features push and constant nagging to log in. Also lately multiple times I couldn't edit or create a document because it wanted me to log in. Had to restart the suite to work again.
LibreOffice. I like that, while it does resemble Microsoft Office somewhat, it's far far more light and efficient. Plus, you know, open and free. It runs great even on an old Raspberry Pi. (As far as I know OpenOffice is considered depreciated in favor of LibreOffice and shouldn't be used anymore btw.)
BTW Freeoffice isn't quite as free as it makes out to be. I don't think it's open at all. Shouldn't really be considered FOSS.
Ha ! I would only use @libreoffice if it ( ... i know...) looked better. But the whole OOTB UI still looks very (bis repetita) old. I also use @ONLYOFFICE but i dont like the fact that it overrides the OS look (KDE plasma) with its own.
Using Linux does not mean I have to like old looking office solutions.
Oh, and I'm very very much missing all FOSS excel/google spreadsheets alternatives to do XMLrequest ...
I am looking for an offline secure folder... A vault type thing that will work when I travel but may not have reception. I do have cryptomator but that is for cloud only.. I think..
Open source software highlight of this week is Cryptomator. It is a unique free and open-source encryption software that lets you encrypt your data before uploading it to the cloud.

Just my personal 2 cents.
Have a nice day all.

To use it locally, just create the encrypted vault in your local filesystem and place all your documents inside that vault.

Although I used to use LibreOffice in the past, it had a few issues that quite annoyed me.
