Welcome to the fediverse. I wonder if you would also have a BookWyrm account? There was some talk a while back about setting up an instance for reading academic work, but for now the main instance might be a nice place to play around with the software.

@danwchan Thanks! I don't have a BookWyrm account yet and when I checked it out I found the selection of books in the database to be limited, so not sure how much overlap there is between what I review and the book present in their database. For the moment I add links to reviews to goodreads.

yeah when I imported my good reads into Bookwyrm I got a list of things that failed to import. That was a slight pain. The database seems to be able to import now from others so there is some improvement on that front. I'm not sure about the status of more academic titles in the database is though. Anyhoo, I'll keep an eye out for (links to?) your reviews here 😁

@danwchan Thanks, please do! Just chugging my way through an almighty large book that is taking weeks, but hopefully a new review in a while. I'll keep an eye on BookWyrm and see how it develops.
