in reply to Palm Oil Detectives • • •I remember when cashews were awfully expensive & an absolute treat. They were also of a better quality, presumably grown in excellent farming conditions.
The sad thing is that by deforesting the land & flooding the market with substandard product, they’ve lowered the return. Destroying the environment for poor gains. I guess that’s what happens in a world with gross financial inequity.
