@thepoliticalcat It is true that you don't have to be a vegan to boycott palm oil. Anyone can boycott palm oil and so good on you! Altho if you are vegan it helps even more. This is because a significant amount of palm oil and soy is used for animal feed and taken together palm oil, soy and meat deforestation is responsible for around 60% of all of the world's deforestation, which impacts animals, the climate and the air we all breath. So it's a bigger picture thing being vegan and #palmoilfree

@thepoliticalcat Sorry, I have to be an insufferable chocolate nerd now. There is plenty of palm oil free chocolate out there, also in the US. Go for bars from good US chocolate makers, like Dandelion, Theo, Fruition, Pump street bakery, and even the US branch of Zotter. Search for handcrafted, of bean to bar chocolate. True, it's more expensive. But chocolate should be more expensive, to pay everybody in the chain properly. End of "rant". And yes: eat more fruit and veg! 😀
