That reminds me of back when the hardliners held Gorbachev prisoner. They shut down the TV stations, radio stations, newspapers, magazines and every other media. But they didn't think to shut down Relcom, the internet service provider just off of Red Square, and it's 56k internet connection to Finland. Volunteers compressed US and European news articles, and kept Yeltsin up to date on everything that was really happening.
