🚨 Raspberry Pi 5: available now! 🚨

Behind the scenes, we’ve been working hard with our friends at the Sony UK Technology Centre in Wales (where your Pi is baked) to ramp up the manufacturing and production test processes. Things have gone a little faster than expected, and we’re happy to announce that the first mass-production units will ship to customers this week.

So far I'll have mine on 2024/01/15 for the SbC and 2024/04/08 for the black/gray case, the black power supply and the active cooler.

Will we finally get hardware accelerated graphics under Linux? More to the point, can we run a useable OBS Studio?

Will there be a Raspberry Pi 500 as well? Considering the power of the RPi 5 such a computer would be an even more competitive choice than the 400 was!

And the 400 was great (I have a Nordic layout one, though I don’t use it as my daily driver, a bit too sluggish for that)

be sure to buy the power supply - cuz they couldnt do a 9v to 5v regulator and now this device doesnt even wanna behave with a 5v/3A powersupply...
sad face...
