No one wants to hang around in the pouring rain waiting to make sure with your own eyes that the garage door has closed.

Matt’s creation lets you check your garage is secure from the comfort of your own indoors.

if I had a pound for every published electronics project involving garage doors, I'd probably have enough to buy a few Raspberry Pis.

Or just spend £20 on one of the many many door sensors available. Cheaper and more reliable than whatever that is.

I use Shelly Door&Window2 which integrate locally with Home Assistant and run for 2+ years on a lithium battery.

you mean I’m not the only one who goes out before bed juuuust to make sure the garage door is really closed?

@zds107 I jiggle the back door 18 times even though I locked it myself. Maybe the dog unlocked it. Maybe I remember myself locking it YESTERDAY instead.
