you're about to learn a very important lesson about zinc plated metal and salt water :drake_like:

it's alright, just keep a close eye to it. But since you've already got the thing, and want to extend its life. Try insulating the two metals(ss/zinc), the galvanic corrosion from them touching might do more damage than salt water. That way it'll last a bit longer.
