Someone at the conf came up to me and showed me this little lua-like language they wrote that targets #uxn, it's very nice, i think one of the most solid ALGOL-type implementation to target uxntal that I've seen!

#uxn

Does it have anything other than a few keywords in common with Lua?

@csepp the similarities end at the syntax, for the rest is tries to be as standard as possible, with index starting at 0, and so forth

In that case I'd call it maybe Pascal or ALGOL-like. I don't even see a table syntax, which is what makes Lua a great configuration language.
Comparing it to Lua invites confusion.

The first thing I saw was "little lua-like language", with ALGOL mentioned later, to me that suggests a priority order, with Lua being the main point of comparison.

No prob, was just a bit confused. Sounded too good to be true and it was. 😅
Lua is small but not *that* small.
