WHAT? NO! Is this real? I am SO DOWN with a tracker for a TI calculator! I guess it makes sense. I've made plenty of tunes with TI tech---speech synth on the TI-99/4a, the SN76489 sound chip, etc. Why not the calculator? I guess I never thought of it. Now this is thinking outside the box.

@cobracommander

Here's a short sample I did ages ago.

Obviously I've added a bit of reverb, and at the end there's some synthesized vocals, but the rest is just HT2.

that CRONCH! I'm in! That's rad as hell thanks for letting me know it even exists! You're a virtuoso on it, too. Damn. My mileage may vary 😂

@cobracommander

Yeah, I dig the sound a lot!

If you end up checking it out you should definitely share some recordings here!

I will! Gotta get the calculator first. Officially on the Xmas wishlist! Wish I held on to mine from high school, nuts. Might still be at my parents house but who knows.

@cobracommander

You can run HT2 on a TI calculator emulator, too. In case you want to get a head start on playing with it.

so I got a TI-82 coming in the mail. I probably should have researched this (duh!) but, just out of curiosity, how do you transfer files to it?

ok I finally got around to reading the manual. I guess I can get a parallel to USB adapter. Was installing TiLP as big of a pain as the creator describes in his YouTube lecture? This is gonna be quite an adventure. VERY excited about it. Giving the emulator a spin tonight.

It's on! Thanks again for letting me know that this even exists.
