Speaking of strange effects of time travel, have you read Stephen King's 11/22/63? An excellent book. 🙂

@Jay Bryant I haven't. As long as it's not horror I may be interested!

This reminded me a little of Connie Willis's books, especially Doomsday Book. She differs in that she brings more humour to her stories.

I enjoyed Doomsday Book. I found Sea of Tranquility less action oriented and it has amazing pacing.

It's really being showcased at the library.

@Cass M That's how I found it! The city library had made it one of their "Hot Picks". This meant I could only check it out for one week, then had to return it. I took the dive any way, even though it meant driving more than an hour into the city and another hour back home today.

I got the e-book on an accelerated hold.

11/22/63 isn't horror. It's science fiction. Mr. King's work gets pigeonholed as horror when a sizable portion of it isn't. The Eyes of the Dragon is fantasy, for example (his daughter asked him to write a fantasy novel).
