Manu calls their work #frugalInnovation / #frugalScience which I think are great terms because they suggest legitimate and impactful challenges targeting communities with few resources. Do folks believe in the impact enough to devote a career towards it / do funders believe enough to fund careers based on this work? Do folks realize they can start doing this work outside of traditional institutions? What are those challenges like?
