First viz is using CDC’s, and I cannot stress this enough, Travel Advice, as some sort of actual data. And it’s not even using its current advice, but seemingly rehashing some 2014-era memes.

This map really screwed up my brain today. I always knew there are many things I take for granted that are not a universal fact. But this? That’s a lot of the world.
When we visited China, we found public fountains labeled as safe for drinking at airports and other public spaces. Other than that, when we mentioned that in the US we drank water straight from the faucet, people were absolutely puzzled. Not awestruck, just confused. Like if we had told them that we cleaned our feet in the dishwasher.

We had to say goodbye to our sweet Happy. She was the very best girl & we had so many adventures together. Happy hiked mountains in Colorado, camped with us in Texas, ran across California’s beaches & pranced through the Michigan snow.

One of the reasons why I have bought multiple games from GOG that I own on Steam. So my kids can play while I play. But I also don't bother with family sharing. It is pointless.
Lot of folks just set up a new steam account for each game they buy that might want to be shared in the house. Steam has rather less customers than accounts.
When family sharing was first introduced this used to be the case, it would only ever lock out the individual game being played, the problem was people abused the system as just a way of making a super-library with friends. It really was a perfect example of a few people ruining a great thing for everyone else. So unfortunately, it's not getting changed.
While most people will be using a normal package for Steam on Linux or the Flatpak, Canonical continue pushing their own Snap packages and one that's needed a lot of work is Steam.

I never understood the point of Kali Linux. I can download individual applications and scripts myself to my lightweight distribution, which doesn't even identify itself as Kali, which just increases my security. If I need a liveboot distribution with the scripts, that can also be solved without using Kali. I have to admit that Kali has a nice look, but otherwise it looks like bloat to me 😁
A project I did for Halloween this year was these talking pumpkins, which were a hit with our trick-or-treaters!
