Marketing is deeply abused in our digital age. I'm tired of the manipulations, misinformation, and disinformation. On the otherhand I want to know when something I do like/need is available: such as new episodes of Star Trek, or soaps that don't include colours or fragrances that cause me to break out into itchy hives.
I've just stumbled across Trust Web Times which specialises in making people aware of abuses in marketing, as well as pointing out ways to market with integrity. last night I got to go to a Science Awards night... along with hearing about great work from people who save lives and make lives better, a junior colleague got a medal for an amazing piece of work on how our blue marble works - awesome!
