I think about this every day and I still don't fucking know

justification of stratification through meritocracy- you too can, through hard work for the benefit of capital, become part of it

as well as just plain propaganda framing it as a natural order, and the use of overwhelming force by capital to destroy any opposition or the will to oppose

gotta admit it's a bold stance for a planetary ruler to take. But he was always right about McNeal.

I think a main reason is that the white-collar working-class have been fooled into believing they are “middle-class” and that their wages are “salaries” and, abracadabra, different. By the time they figure out they’ve been scammed, it’s too late, for everybody.

Wage-labour or profits; your income tells you which class you’re in.

simple...

People get kept busy with "fulltime jobs" and kept politically illiterate to rather be racist & heterocisbinary assholes than anything else...

The problem here, of course, is that apex consumers tend to acquire more, and more dangerous, (expensive) toxins and therefore harmful genetic divergence from over-indulgence, gluttony, greed, wrath, and pride, not to mention the hugely expensive food and drink. Therefore, the solution here seems to be "compost the rich" and ... ... ... and why aren't we doing that RIGHT NOW?!?

I guess because of police, armies and general state violence. Currently it is pretty easy to get bashed if they see us coming with knives and forks.

Because the smaller class monopolised all tools of control & the larger class is systematically stripped of all tools of self defence.

And the larger class is convinced by the agents of the parasitic minority that they need to treasure so called "non-violence" while State — the organised thug of ruling class — continues to inflict systematic & organised violence against the larger class.

@adrienne During the 2004 US presidential election season, I put a satirical bumper sticker in my car's back window that said "GOP: Eat The Poor!" but I was living at home and my parents asked me to not do that because they thought the neighbors wouldn't get the satire. 🙃

Great line from the movie "Gangs Of New York":

"You can always pay one half of the poor to kill the other half of the poor.".

To be fair, they wouldn't taste that good lol

But, I do see your point.

It's because we cling to civility until they give us no other recourse.

Like in Russia? The overthrow by Lenin bolscheviks only brought up a new sort of criminal rulers that enslaved, tortured and murdered staggering amount od people. Let's just name few - Stalin, Brezhnev, Beria, Dzerzhinsky, Putin,... The same in oher communist countries.

IMO because members of the working class truly believe they are just one step away from becoming members of the ruling class: get the right degree, the right job, live in the right place, make the right connection, try just a wee bit harder, and they’re in.

Maybe some believe they are not/more/better than the working class. Either way, they need to wake up to being oppressed & fed satisfying tidbits. Some steps towards destroying class & most other forms of oppression would be end #patriarchalcapitalism develop truly universal (global) #education in order to achieve #equality #justice & #unity.

Really asking, or just for kicks?

If you can specify problem simple way, does not mean that it has simple solution or solution at all.

Daily struggle to survive, to start with.

Then, who would and how organise working class?

Last but not least, toward what? Anarchy? Redistribution of wealth? On which principles?

Capitalism is cruel and injustice, but unfortunately, currently only working economic system.
