A detailed #news story at CNN about record breaking heat across the US, yet no mention of #climate change? 🤔

well it is corporate interest news after all, that’s all the big networks are, including print.

This type of "reporting" infuriates me!!!!! 😠😡🤬 Journalists and "news" sources have completely abdicated their responsibility of INFORMING the public of facts and inconvenient truths.

The fossil fuel industry pays mainstream media handsomely to reframe climate change as "just a hot day, thank you for water parks and my AC!"

It's paid to ignore the cause of climate change.
It's paid for lies of omission.

It's a plan for planetary disaster funded by the financial services industry.

The fossil fuel industry makes money creating heat domes & makes money on the air conditioning to survive an extreme heat event & from the tax subsidies.

I wondered what the high at Death Valley was. It's supposed to be 100 Tuesday in my area. This is compared to the 105 we had Friday. (At 104, plants shut down until it cools off.)

I don't think anybody at this point is ignorant of the climate crisis, they're just not going to do anything. Moreover, they get pissed when you bring it up so corporate media is going to stop reporting it because it costs them ad revenue.

I think it's questionable to look at one data point in very noisy data and call it an example of a trend.

Strange isn't it that media that are quite happy to promote bizarre conspiracy theories prefer the coincidence theory of climate change and weather?
