I definitely identify with this cartoon, but I know better. I get more and more interesting every day as I add more and more experiences to my life. People who look at me and just see a "old lady," are missing the auditor, financial analyst, technical writer, computer consultant, helicopter pilot, drone pilot, silversmith, boat captain, gardener, photographer (with real darkroom experience), traveler, teacher, etc., etc. that I am.

@mlanger At 45 I relate as well. I feel right at the in-between, but I suspect the people who matter most to us do see we contain multitudes.

but... what if I'm past my moments cause of external stuff?
How do I circumvent a "max N years old" limitation? Just cause someone put that age on my ID!

Serious question... cause things feel more and more out of range for me (and due to mh I don't think I can ever really catch and reach my goals 😔 )

it will always be weird for me how people let the labels and stereotypes control them. It's giving up on your own independent thought and conforming to whatever society, those with the control over media and local authorities want you to know and think.

Just turn on your brain for 3 minutes to process whatever mf standing in front of you, lmao

Now that I am an "invisible" older person, I get to do whatever I want. If they don't like it, tough luck. If someone pisses me off, I am not holding back. Guys try to talk over me, I just get louder (theater training means I know how to project my voice).
