Latest comic: The Supreme Court ruling overturning the Chevron doctrine was largely overlooked in the wake of the debate, but possibly even more apocalyptic. In short, the Republican majority gutted the precedent that gave deference to scientists and other experts at setting regulations for air and water pollution and food safety.

@wagesj45 Yes, this is one big reason I don't think he's well-suited to lead going forward

In any anti-democracy movement, a war on facts & reality comes first.

Men like Alito, who is so scientifically illiterate that he doesn't know the difference between laughing gas and a greenhouse gas, have been bought by the fossil fuel industry to continue frying the planet.

The time for getting the democratic nominee you want who holds all your values is the primary. In the general election, it's all about voting against trump, no matter who the democrat candidate is.

I was so peeved that this decision (and others, like Grants Pass) were overshadowed by the debate.

as hilarious as this is, I still have to ask the question:

What exactly are Americans proud of? Are the last several years of orange man fever something you're proud of? What kind of country allows itself to become such a laughingstock that the world just sees you as a bunch of giant drunk toddlers?

Don't get me wrong; my province definitely doesn't disappoint in the category of dipshittery, but at least our government is...kind of functioning.
