Colin Waddell did a whoopsie and moved into a new house directly under a flight path from the local airport. He decided to lean into it and created this #RaspberryPi -powered flight tracker slash fridge magnet.

A friend bought a house under a flight path. The village started a campaign against something to do with the airport and asked him to join in. He refused: "the only reason I could afford this house was because it was under the flight path, so it would be a bit hypocritical of me to start complaining about the airport, wouldn't it?".

I spent about a year living near the end of a runway at SeaTac airport in Seattle. Would have loved this. (We got used to the noise, but learned to just stop mid-sentence as a plane passed and picked the sentence right up at the same point when the noise passed. Worked for me, my wife and housemates, but confused the hell out of visitors.
