@duncan_lithgow the reasoning is quite simple: the whole point of commemorating is to create awareness so people wonāt do those things again. Does it make sense to keep the memory of a tragedy aliv...manganiello.social

I have repeatedly said that I never support genocide.
I have repeatedly said that I support the memory of the Holocaust.
I even live in one of the largest Jewish areas in Europe and supported commemoration events organized by Jewish friends and I often play Yiddish music.
I have repeatedly said that I just want those who are profiting from the “business of commemoration” accountable. Especially while they invest nothing in even keeping accurate records of the victims, nor in human curators, and while their senior staff also covers high-ranking roles in the IDF, and while writing stuff that justifies “Israel’s response with all of its military might” and Palestinian deaths (“they’re just human shields”). I have repeatedly said that I just want those who are profiting from the ābusiness of commemorationā accountable. Especially while they invest nothing in even keeping accurate records of the victims, nor in human curators, and while their senior staff also covers high-ranking roles in the IDF, and while writing stuff that justifies āIsraelās response with all of its military mightā and Palestinian deaths (ātheyāre just human shieldsā). And that the inference āif we call for boycotting Israeli businesses that are tied to this genocide then we should also boycott the Auschwitz foundationā isnāt that illogical. And that itās hypocritical to say āNever againā while you just do it again.
I justified my views using the following sources:
The fact that you ignored all of these arguments, cherrypicked only a few words that were convenient to you, threatened me to report me to the HR of my employer and then tried to frame me as a Nazi to get my instance defederated (ignoring that my grandpa fought those scumbags on the Italian Appennines and helped Jews, and that I have stood up against fascist intimidation throughout most of my life, and even put myself in danger to defend both Jewish or Arab friends) says much more about YOUR intimidation techniques than the alleged weakness of MY arguments!
People like YOU who keep arguing for their unaccountability and exploit the tragedies of the past to justify the tragedies of the present, and who act like cold bureaucrats at the service of a foreign propaganda regime that refuses to argue and reason (despite all the āIām open to discussā bullsh*t you wrote on your profile), and instead just try to screw other peopleās lives and prevent civilized discourse about certain topics on the basis of a few keywords that they grab, are the worst disgrace and insult to the memory of the dead, not those like ME who just demand for accountability without taboos and without biases!
And rest assured that your mafia thug intimidation techniques donāt work with me! The whole world is seeing what kind of thugs you are, and your arrogance is an insult to all the good Jewish folks out there!
And if you refuse to respond to any other arguments Iāve laid in front of you Iād just like an answer to a simple question: do you do this kind of witch hunt because youāre genuinely a despicable human being who refuses to embrace the nuances and complexities behind such complex topics, or because you have financial incentives from it?

Asking for the temporary close down of Jews museums, to separate themselves, from the #Israel #Zionist is a great idea. Many Jews are against israel.
Zionist killed 60000+ people and are #starving a couple of millions. Commiting #war #crimes and commiring a #genocide in #gaza and an #ethnic #cleansing, according to the #ICJ in #hague.
Stop programming for a few hours and read what the world says in mastodon. And don't pretend to be more clever or witty than the rest of the world and the ICJ judges.
Germany and germans are loosing this argument, big time, all over the world.
Israel are #criminals and #murderers since 1948. That is an historical fact as big as the Jewish Holocaust.

I have called for the accountability of those behind those foundations and the right investigations to ensure that:
- They don’t have ties with the current regime and with the IDF, and don’t act like acts of propaganda (something that unfortunately some foundations have done a bit too often lately - proofs were provided in my posts).
- The money they get is reinvested into proper historical research, initiatives for peace and condemnation of all the genocides (and they’re currently failing to do that too), and not to fund the bombs on Gaza (something that they can’t confirm as long as they have high-ranking IDF staff on their boards, example:

Once we are sure that weāre all in good faith we can support them as much as weāve always done. But now I donāt think that many of those folks are really doing a good job keeping the memory of the dead alive, nor that they are in good faith.
Just like right now I wouldnāt feel comfortable to buy Israeli oranges because I canāt be sure that they were not grown on stolen land, so I donāt feel comfortable going to a Holocaust museum without knowing that the money for my ticket goes to historical research and initiatives for peace rather than social media posts that boast about āIsraelās military mightā. And I have the right to express this opinion without retaliation.
I acknowledge that these are hard topics to talk about. I acknowledge that people can flare up as soon as they hear a word that triggers them. But it doesnāt mean that they shouldnāt be talked about. Nor that I should be framed like a Nazi for talking about them. Nor that talking about them means that at the first cherry-picked word I may lose my job or the federation of the instance that Iāve administered for years. Because these are thug threats and fascist intimidation techniques that Iāve been trained to fight and I will keep fighting.
Btw, do you have some comments about the NYT article from the Jewish professor that Iāve used for some of the quotes in my incriminated posts archive.is/QQZak?
Or about some of the material about the Auschwitz foundation shared by relatives of survivors who are rightfully offended by the foundation sharing automated posts pulled from outdated databases with incorrent information?

Or are we focused on zooming in on the initials of the words in order to frame people the way we like, while censoring their right to criticize a foundation that doesnāt even bother to check the right names and dates of birth of the victims whose memory they are supposed to commemorate?

With respect, no he isnāt. Heās expressing an opinion that using an historical tragedy to mask abhorrent behavior now is unacceptable. He is entitled to his opinion, as are we all.
He is not suggesting that the offending museums should be closed or that their portfolios should be distributed elsewhere or erased.
The ādifferent barā is a fair comment, but argue this point, not some other invented offence.
