I'm planning to make some merch for #Mastodon's 10th anniversary and I would like to gauge which products folks might be most interested in buying. Remember, it's all bespoke, I can't make everything. For the sake of argument let's assume you love the original design that for now I want to keep a surprise...

#Merchtodon

  • Screen printed hoodie (40%, 337 votes)
  • Screen printed t-shirt (66%, 552 votes)
  • Screen printed poster (13%, 112 votes)
  • Screen printed sweatshirt (15%, 131 votes)
835 voters. Poll end: in 1 day

Suggestion: have you considered making coffee mugs? Thing about coffee mugs is, you don't out-grow them and they don't fade in the wash, shrink, or develop unsightly holes. Also they usually come in just one size, so simpler to keep in stock.

@cstross We made 4 mugs over the years, one design for every season. Some autumn ones are still in stock, rest sold out. I drink tea out of them but of course they could be coffee mugs too.

@cstross

Big anniversary. Big mug size. Like 450ml or so. Substantial platform format, substantial mug of liquid.

Tshirt, obviously, and a hoodie with a zipper in front (please).

tee-shirts would be great, especially if they are not male only 😉

I would fancy some stickers too

Please consider using a #fairtrade company for these textiles. For example #recolution . They do collections with others regularly, for example tshirts with @kriegundfreitag designs.

That feels like it was a poll between "which of you live somewhere with a real summer" and "which of you are in Berlin"

I suspect that Hoodie's will be high in demand, but a simple sweatshirt would be very welcome by this Central Coast California fan.

Regular sweatshirts are easier to wear over a collared shirt and provide more layering options.

please make sure they are cotton or natural material and not oil based products aka polyester, elastane, Lycra

Whatever you do, if it involves clothes, please also make fitted cuts. Pretty-please!

how about mugs, reusable coffee cups, reusable cold drink cups?
The world doesn't need more fast fashion.
