“What’s in a kiss? Nothing less than the very essence of what it is to be human”

Preparing for an interview this morning by re-reading this article I wrote exactly 8 years ago. I adore #history & it’s a good one.

Really enjoyed reading your work. Now I'm off on a hunt to find a Biologist/Immunologist or such like to discover about the exchange of microbes involved in that very sensual of activities. Haha!

@RhiMG Ha! There's actually a whole chapter on that in the book called, "There Are Such Things As Cooties."

The Science of Kissing is primarily a #science #book.

Not a term I'm familiar with Sheril but some research reveals that these two cuties below are definitely about to transfer #cooties >>>>

The 'There Are Such Things As Cooties' book doesn't appear to be available in UK.

I have a serious need to know as osculation, for me, has always carried great risk, #autoimmunesystem highly compromised.
The first few months of a new romantic relationship is fraught with a horrid cascade of immune response symptoms. And yet, I still do it!!! It's a really difficult one to resist.

@RhiMG That’s just the chapter title on germs. The Science of Kissing should be easy to find in the UK, and def at your local library! https://www.amazon.co.uk/Science-Kissing-What-Lips-Telling/dp/0446559903
