After working on it for a while, Collabora developer Moses Turner has announced that their "Mercury" hand-tracking for Monado, their open source XR runtime, is now ready for use.

I'm assuming this is using the camera system on the front of the HMD, correct? Does that mean this won't work in Linux for the Valve Index, because SteamVR on Linux doesn't work with the cameras on the Index? :c
