Just learned Serving Up Science - the quirky PBS series I write & host - has been recognized with two Broadcast Excellence Awards from the Michigan Association of Broadcasters. We won Best Mini-Documentary or Series & Best Use of Multiplatform Media.

That one of the ones on YouTube like the Eons channel? Over the past couple years, I've watched a lot of great PBS content via YouTube.

Awesome: I've subscribed to a couple of the Digital Studios channels. Eons was just the one I'd watched this morning.

Been a fan of PBS content since the 70s, but now don't watch much traditional TV. The Digital Studios content fills the gap left by not watching traditional TV.

congratulations on your team’s awards. It’s great that the science message is getting out there. All of us who have science degrees should be taught how to communicate it, so that more people are exposed to how it works and what it does for society.

I agree & am encouraged at how interest in science communication has expanded since I was in grad school (the first time) 20 years ago. So many universities are now offering related interdisciplinary degrees & there are far more visible people in that space demonstrating it can be a rewarding career.
