It's the 21st century now. It's past time for all devices with undocumented barrel-connector power cords to disappear from the consumer electronics ecosystem. Nobody wants to have to spend $50 for replacement power cords for home, nor second power cords for office, nor for a 12-volt adapter for their car.
Any device that doesn't power and charge from USB-C, you should announce such a failure loudly up front, as a severe and disqualifying flaw in its design.
